A woman has been arrested following a fatal crash in Stratford.
The crash, involving a car and pedestrian, was reported in The Grove at 4.42pm on July 4.
Emergency services attended and taped off the road.
A man in his 70s was found injured and died at the scene.
His next of kin have yet to be informed of his death.
A 27-year-old woman was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving under the influence of drugs.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "At 16:42hrs on Friday, 4 July, police were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in The Grove, Stratford.
"Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service, who treated a pedestrian, a man in his 70s at the scene. Sadly, despite the efforts of paramedics, he died from his injuries.
"His next-of-kin have yet to be informed.
