An elderly man has died in a crash involving a car and pedestrian in Stratford.  

Officers from the Metropolitan Police were called to The Grove with reports of an incident at 4.42pm on July 4. 

They attended alongside the London Ambulance Service and found that a car and pedestrian had crashed. 

A man in his 70s was discovered at the scene and died from his injuries.

His next of kin have yet to be informed. 

An investigation has been launched into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
