Jordan Dujon, Omar Jamal and Frankie Woods showed quality in their respective bouts
It was a great weekend for West Ham Amateur Boxing Club after they recorded three excellent victories.
The team travelled to Swindon with Jordan Dujon first of all to take on the Army’s Daniel Ward in the semi-finals of the national novices tournament.
After a cagey start and a first round which could have gone either way, Dujon stepped it up in both rounds two and three to clinch the victory with the cleaner and classier boxing.
Over in Essex, two more Hammers stepped into the ring at a show in Tilbury.
Omar Jamal, in only his second bout, took on 25-contest Essex veteran Arnie Dawson from Clacton, but Jamal was a level above for three rounds on his way to an impressive convincing, unanimous win.
Next up having his first bout for West Ham since moving in the summer was Frankie Woods.
Woods took on Chadwell boxer Titan Kilnsrisuk and the new Hammer impressed the crowd with a wonderful display of shot picking and controlled boxing to ease to victory to conclude a fine weekend for the club.
The boys in Claret and Blue continue their busy start to the season with five going to Bristol to take on local club Barton Hill and Dujon going for gold in Oxford.
He will then be part of the first international team to visit Iceland later this month along with Chairman Jason Bull and boxer Mohammad Metowlli.
