Latest signing revealed for new season

London Lions have announced that Demond Watt will join the team for the 2015-16 season.

The mercurial Watt shone in the BBL last season bagging numerous Player of the Month awards playing for the Cheshire Phoenix.

And statistics 19 points and 12 rebounds while also shooting an eye popping 64 per cent from the floor marked Watt out as a key man on his team.

At 6ft 7in Watt is athletic and commands the painted area and was a key player at Texas A&M University in the USA, nailing 15 points and nine rebounds per match in his last season before graduation.

Following graduation Watt had seasons in Sweden and Iceland, winning the Championship in 2014 with KR Reykjavik.

Lions head coach Nigel Lloyd said: “Demond is a solid acquisition for us, he is proven and that’s the best thing I can say, he knows what our League is about and clearly goes to battle each and every night, I think he will bring a steel and character to us that will be positive.”
