The weekend’s best bets for West Ham, Orient and the Daggers

The Hammers must be going into their FA Cup quarter-final with Stoke with a spring in their step.

They entertained Stoke last Saturday in the league and gave them a 3-0 pasting, so even though this match is at the Britannia Stadium they must fancy their chances.

And what a price they are at 5/2. I recommend you take a bit of that, because it looks far too big to me.

I wouldn’t put you off backing them for the Cup outright at 16/1, because it doesn’t look the strongest line up this year.

Leyton Orient continue to surge up the table and they do look real contenders at 6/5 for a top six finish. They are 12/1 to get promoted and the way they are playing you cannot rule that out.

And back them at 17/20 to beat Oldham on Saturday. Oldham are in poor form. There is only one result.

The Daggers, meanwhile, are fighting hard to avoid the drop and with games in hand they look good now to stay up. You can back them at 10/11 to stay up.

They have a tricky away game at relegation rivals Swindon on Saturday, but the 5/2 on them looks big.

They are in better form and the pressure will be far greater on the home side. Get on. It’s my bet of the week!
