St Edward’s pupils proved the pride of Newham after winning the KS2 sportshall athletics event staged by the Langdon Academy Sport Partnership this week.

A total of nine primary schools took part in the track & field competition, with St Edward’s finishing at the top of the table with an overall total of 224 points.

St Antony’s were the runners-up on 180, while Aldersbrook finished in third place with 172, putting St Joachim’s (170).

Pupils from Cleveland (142), St Francis (124), St James (86), St Michael’s (84) and Nelson (80) also enjoyed the event.
