A sports camp was held for children in the borough over the Easter holidays

Children from across the borough of Newham had plenty of sporting fun at a camp run over the Easter holidays at Calverton Primary School.

Those in attendance at the camp took part in a series of sports, including football, tennis and badminton among others.

The sessions the youngsters from across the borough were taking part in were run by qualified coaches and staff, making sure all had fun in a safe environment.

As well as taking part in a host of sessions encompassing various sports, the children who took part in the camp also completed an Easter egg hunt, while an Easter bonnet competition was held as well.

Medals, trophies and prizes were given out at the end of the week for player of the week and most improved player of the week.

All children who participated in the camp also collected medals, as did the winners of the Easter bonnet competition and the Easter egg hunt.
