St Mary’s Lane club lost 32-10 on the road at the weekend

Pat Reed was left to rue some mistakes in the second half from Old Cooperians as they slipped to a 32-10 defeat at East London in London Three Essex.

The St Mary’s Lane club had been chasing a third straight league win on their trip to East London at the weekend.

However, Coops fell to a fourth loss of the season and head coach Reed feels his team may have missed an opportunity to triumph.

“It was a game I feel we let slip away from us. We were close at half time and we started the second half well, maybe a bit too well,” he said.

“We made a couple of mistakes that East London capitalised on and the game got away from us.

“Credit to East London who fully deserved their win, but there is a feeling of what might have been.”

Coops are next in action on Saturday when they visit West Norfolk in the second round of the RFU Senior Vase.
