Plashet Bowls Club

Plashet Park Bowls Club are 100 years old this year and as part of their celebrations they held a special dinner and drive at the club last week.

East Ham MP Stephen Timms was guest of honour as the club looked back on a century of success in one of the borough’s oldest parks.

Over the years they have won Essex county trophies in singles, doubles and triples, including the prestigious Beckett, Cordell and Seeley trophies and their club continues to go from strength to strength thanks to its diverse cultural membership.

The MP is pictured with club president Cliff Dye and secretary Joan Ayre, who was presented with a floral bouquet for organising the event.
