Willmott welcomes youngsters to London Aquatics Centre

Great Britain swimmer Aimee Willmott held a special Legacy Day, which proved a huge success among local youngsters last week.

UEL student Willmott, the London Aquatics Centre Performance Programme’s very own Olympic finalist, and head coach Lisa Bates hosted a training day for aspiring swimmers aged between 8-16 years old.

And swimmers had two pool sessions working alongside Willmott in the water and one educational lifestyle talk to enlighten them into the life of an elite athlete.

A spokesperson said: “The day was extremely successful and every swimmer engaged in every process. A big well done to all involved!”
