OPA netball club had a win, a draw and a defeat in the Essex Met League at the weekend.

The Vets raced into a 32-18 lead against Langdon, as Amanda Newton, Carol Young, Colette Corbin, Brenda Blanc, Stacy Collins, Sue Miller, Stephanie Miller and Karen Turner combined.

And although Langdon fought back in the second half, OPA still ran out 59-53 winners.

OPA Green were one goal down at half time against Leyton, as Rasheel Bhopla. Laura Taylor-Burge, Chelsy Honeyghan, Saranna Maynard, Wendy Dorviis, Renae Corbin and Louise Francis worked hard.

And although they took a three-goal lead in the second half, Leyton hit back for a 35-35 draw as Renae Corbin took the player of the match awards for OPA.

The Whites, made up of Roxy Savoury, Rashmi Bhopla, Jenny McLeod, Hannah Gillot, VJ Davidson, Renae Corbin and Jess Smith lost 35-33 to Essex Open G.
