Newham All Star Sports Academy (NASSA) had plenty to celebrate with no less than four wins in their national league games at the weekend.

NASSA under-14 girls sealed a narrow 46-42 win over Greenhouse Pioneers with a lot of determination giving them the edge in the encounter.

The under-18 boys picked up a 93-71 win over Barking & Dagenham Thunder at their home ground the UEL SportsDock.

The under-16 boys won 85-67 over London Westside Rangers while the under-14 boys picked up a 62-55 win against Chelmsford Lions.

Coach Natasha Hart said: “I’m pleased with the progress of all of the NASSA teams and that takes hard work on the part of the players, volunteers and coaches.

“We have seen the teams work really hard and really well this weekend and I am happy, but we still have a lot more work to do if we want to get to the top.”
