Shoujin Karate Kai member celebrates

Docklands Shoujin Karate Kai member Demie Holland enjoyed more success recently.

The 10-year-old Calverton Primary School pupil had shone at the USA Open International before a spell out with a broken thumb.

And she came back stronger and more determined at a competition in Dudley to win two gold medals, a silver and three bronze in kata and kumite.

A spokesman said: “Demie has shown great dedication and discipline to the sport and continues to improve, with a bright future ahead of her. A great achievement.”
