London GD’s firsts claimed a superb win in Manchester to return to winning ways.

They triumphed 31-19 at the National Cycling Centre in the Men’s Super 8 League.

Yann Burande top scored with seven goals while Jordi Ferrer-Torras added five and Saad Benjliouel and Jorge Gonzalez chipped in with four apiece.

Despite Manchester scoring the first two goals, London GD were 14-8 ahead at half time.

The impressive victory means GD are second in the table, two points behind leaders Salford.

Coach Juan Pedro Carrasco said: “Overall it was a positive game, and it’s fantastic to be back on track.

“I’m very pleased with the great attitude from our players, continually pushing forward during the entire game.

“Manchester has some great shooters but our guys read them well and we managed to stop them early on. I’m really proud of their performance.”
