RATINGS v STOKE CITY

ADRIAN 5

One of his poorest displays in a West Ham shirt. Has had a decent season but here he dropped two crosses and then rushed out when he didn’t need to and cost them the goal. Did make a good save from Adam at the death.

CHEIKHOU KOUYATE 6

Not quite as effective without Reid alongside him. He won some headers and worked hard, but could not prevent Stoke causing some problems in the penalty area.

JAMES COLLINS 6

Never lets the team down and gave everything as usual. Did not get in the tackle for the equaliser as Adrian had called for the ball.

ANGELO OGBONNA 7* (man of the match)

The pick of the players on a dreary day. Won plenty of the ball and his distribution was good. Caused a few problems in the other box too.

Seems to have thrived in the extra cover of the three centre back formation. Is beginning to improve his distribution as well, while is proving a danger in the other box too as he went close with a thumping header.

MICHAIL ANTONIO 7

Worked hard as ever, starting at right wing-back, went up front and ended up on the wing. Unlucky not to be given the goal for a good header. Nine games without a goal now.

AARON CRESSWELL 6

Got to the by-line plenty of times to deliver crosses, but none of them found their target, though he did won some corners. Defensively he did ok, though the equaliser originated on his side.

MARK NOBLE 5

Not one of his better games. Some of his passes went astray when he did get in the game, but for much of it he was just ball chasing. Booking gives him a one-match ban for Tottenham.

PEDRO OBIANG 6

His confidence seems to be improving with this long spell of starts. Always wins the ball, but he is adding a more attacking element to his game.

DIMITRI PAYET 7

On the left wing for too long instead of coming inside to hurt the Stoke defence, but still went close with a free kick right on half time, before providing the assist for West Ham’s goal.

MANUEL LANZINI 5

Another lacklustre display by the midfield man. Seems to be lacking in confidence and adventure which is stopping him going on those runs into the box that hyave been so effective. Maybe time for a rest.

ANDRE AYEW 6

Selected as the lone striker, but does not look equipped to play the role, in a different way to Zaza. Seemed to spend a lot of the game playing deep, even in the centre circle. Needed some help in attack.

SUBSTITUTES

EDIMILSON FERNANDES (for Lanzini, 62) 6

Surprise to see him on the bench, though he did not play well against Everton. Settled in at left wing-back and made an impression.

ASHLEY FLETCHER (for Ayew, 63) 7

Worked hard and gave West Ham more of a target up front. Won the ball but didn’t really get a chance to make his mark.

SOFIANE FEGHOULI (for Obiang, 89)

No time to make an impression.
