Archant's Dave Evans, George Sessions and Ned Keating discuss the latest topics affecting our clubs
Another week passes for our clubs and yet more drama unfolds.
Two more League Two losses have left Leyton Orient six points adrift of safety, but a bigger story has developed off the pitch with the club now facing a fight for its very future.
After 136 years in the game, making them London’s second-oldest club behind Fulham, Orient have been hit with a winding-up order and are due in court later this month.
Supporters have held crisis meetings to discuss ways forward, but the battle for survival has taken on greater significance in the last 48 hours, ahead of the long trip to bottom club Newport County.
West Ham, meanwhile, have the weekend off but are due to welcome Premier League leaders Chelsea to London Stadium on Monday evening.
Slaven Bilic’s men beat the Blues in the EFL Cup back in October, in a match marred by crowd disturbances, and go into the derby off the back of a draw at Watford.
But they will be without the suspended Michail Antonio, while hoping Andy Carroll is fit to play some part.
Dagenham & Redbridge venture to the north East to take on Gateshead in the National League, smarting from a 2-0 home defeat against struggling Maidstone in midweek.
John Still’s promotion hopefuls remain in second place and will be keen to avenge a 5-0 home loss against the Heed back in November.
Correspondents Dave Evans, George Sessions and Ned Keating share their thoughts in our latest podcast, presented by Archant’s digital specialist project manager Matt Withers.
