Newham’s year seven district year dismantled Redbridge with a 4-1 victory at Brampton Manor Academy.

The opening goal came from Forest Gate school starlet Hazeez Olowu, who pounced on a loose ball to poke the ball home for Newham.

Minutes later a fabulous corner delivered by Modestas Kalinausks was met with a bullet header from young Leyton Orient defender Daniel Nakipov to give Newham a 2-0 lead.

Confidence was brewing and Newham added a third with a fantastic finish from Hazeez Olowu.

Jerome Thomas made it 4-0 with a thunderous left-footed strike from 25 yards out to seal all three points.

Redbridge never stopped trying and scored a consolation with almost the last kick of the game.

Newham: Kalinausks, Gayle, Thomas, Owusu, Krasniqi, Uwandu, Djoko, Nakipov, Olowu, Oppong, Bedzo, Grant, Makesa, Guthrie.
