London Bari in action tonight while Newham's match has been postponed
Clapton host Wadham Lodge in the Essex Senior League this weekend hoping to pick up all three points when an old favourite visits.
Former Tons number two Neil Day is now assistant manager at Lodge and will be coming back to his previous stomping ground, the Old Spotted Dog, on Saturday.
Day was hugely popular with the Clapton fans when he worked alongside Chris Wood and is sure to get a warm welcome from the Ultras.
Michael Walther’s men will be looking to bounce back after Sawbridgeworth Town beat them 2-1 last weekend.
Warren Mfula found the net with five minutes left at the Old Spotted Dog, but the Robins were already two goals ahead and held on for the points.
Clapton will now look to triumph when Day and his Lodge team visit on Saturday.
Newham’s league clash with Barking last Wednesday (January 6) was postponed to ensure their extended break from action continues.
Kevin Lucas and Shamrez Darr’s men didn’t have a match at the weekend, but were set to host Hullbridge Sports at Chadfields tonight (Wednesday).
But unfortunately that match has now been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch so Newham’s next fixture is away to bottom club Waltham Forest on Saturday.
London Bari’s clash at Wimbledon in the second round of the London Senior Cup was postponed due to a waterlogged Kingsmeadow pitch at the weekend.
Chris Davis and his team are now set to welcome Sporting Bengal United to the Old Spotted Dog tonight and after that, they will be preparing to visit league leaders Basildon United on Saturday.
