Clapton had to settle for a share of the spoils after a six-goal thriller at Southchurch Park.

With only home supporters allowed entry into the ground, Manor took the lead when pouncing on a poor clearance, but Tons were back on terms thanks to a penalty from Steven Sardinha.

The visitors, with fans watching from the road outside the ground, then got their noses in front through Jay Morris, only for Manor to square matters for a second time.

And Clapton were then reduced to 10 men, but took a 3-2 lead with a looping shot into the top corner thanks to Jeffrey Cobblah’s 16th goal of the season, only for Manor to snatch a point in stoppage time.

Cobblah took to Twitter to post: “Gutted with the draw today, happy to get my 16th of the season. Massive appreciation to the fans who came today.”

Lanre Vigo added: “Mad love for you guys @ClaptonUltras for still coming down today, shame we drew today.”

Clapton remain in sixth place, with a home match against Takeley to come next Saturday.

Hackney Wick were hit for six by FC Romania at the Old Spotted Dog.

And the heavy 6-1 defeat leaves Tony Ievoli’s side second from bottom, with a home match against Enfield to come next on Wednesday.
