London Bari take on leaders Barking at Mayesbrook Park looking to cause an upset in the division

Clapton return to action tonight with a difficult London Senior Cup first round tie against Greenwich Borough.

The Tons entertain the Ryman South outfit, who are managed by ex-Leyton Orient forward Gary Alexander.

Former O’s captain John Mackie is his assistant and the duo have guided Borough to third in the table.

Clapton go into the contest off the back of a 1-0 defeat at home to Hullbridge Sports on December 6.

The fixture was attended by just 21 supporters with the Ultras boycotting matches at the Old Spotted Dog due to an increase in ticket prices without warning and the introduction of invasive security checks prior to entry into the stadium.

It is likely to be another low crowd this evening for the visit of Borough with the winner at home to Hanwell Town in the next round.

“Me and Gary back in east London for Clapton vs Greenwich in the London Senior Cup. Any O’s fans local come and have a watch,” tweeted Mackie.

London Bari are also in action again after a 10-day break from the Essex Senior League and visit leaders Barking.

Chris Davis’ team defeated Redbridge 2-1 last time out on December 3.
