West Ham United make the trip to Newcastle United in the Premier League on Saturday looking for just a second away win in the league this season.

The Hammers were beaten at home last weekend, going down 4-0 against Manuel Pellegrini’s former club Manchester City.

Leyton Orient will hope to keep hold of top spot in the Vanarama National League when they entertain Gateshead on Saturday.

The O’s were held to a goalless draw at home to Aldershot Town on Tuesday night, which followed a 2-0 success at title rivals Wrexham for Justin Edinburgh’s men last Saturday.

Dagenham & Redbridge, meanwhile, visit Hartlepool United in search of a fourth (yes, fourth) straight league win.

Peter Taylor’s men beat Havant & Waterlooville 3-1 at home on Tuesday after Daggers collected a 2-0 success at Bromley last Saturday.

All this, plus the latest from the Bostik Premier and below, is discussed on this week’s East London Football podcast.

Host Matt Withers is joined by Dave Evans, George Sessions, Ned Keating and Jacob Ranson to reflect on another week in east London football.
