Archant

Clapton remain fifth after two quick goals around the hour mark gave them a seventh straight win in the division and gave Hullbridge plenty to think about after another defeat at Lower Road.

Jay Morris gave the Tons the lead on the hour mark with a good effort and it was two just three minutes later when Hassan Nalbani beat the bridge defence and scored with a good finish to seal the points for his side on the road.

The club’s manager Jonny Fowell was also named as Essex Senior League manager of the month before the match for their impressive streak in October.

The Tons will travel away to Southend Manor on Tuesday evening (7.45pm).

Subs: Ranger, Buffin, Offord, Lopez, Lope.
