St Bonaventure’s School retain Dewar Shield

Celebrations were taking place in St Bonaventure’s School after the Year 10 under-15 football team won the Dewar Shield London Cup for the second year running.

The school, in Boleyn Road, Forest Gate, faced Kingsdale Foundation School from West Dulwich in South London at Clapton FC’s Old Spotted Dog ground last Thursday. And St Bons came out 2-0 victors in the end after Tyrique Peters and Norman Pitoula had scored two early goals.

The defence, led by John Jeffery Luna and Ben Sumalii, were able to keep Kingsdale at bay throughout the game.

The winning shield is now proudly on display at the school.
