Johnnie Ashman hit an extra-time winner to send Royal Docks Community School year-10 boys through to the last 16 of the National Cup last week.

Acton took the lead on 20 minutes and Docks were denied an equaliser before half time, when Tega Fe-Cados saw his header chalked out for offside.

Docks increased their tempo in the second period, with Emmanuel Igbinweka and Jason Sebasto pulling the strings in midfield.

After Eddie Farah, Ashman and Raheem Smile all saw chances go begging Docks appeared to be heading out of the competition.

But Ashman finally converted Edward Sabeng’s cross to level and netted a penalty in extra-time to send his side through to play Northampton School for Boys in round seven.

Docks: Churchman, Edward Sabeng, Edmund Sabeng, Drumond, Pedro, Martins, Sebasto, Igbinweka, Ashman, Farah, Smile, Fe-Cados, Danials, Lam, Kent.
