New York Giants and Oakland Raiders stars will be paying a visit to West Ham United Foundation to launch a new foundation.

American footballers Joshua Johnson and Marshawn Lynch, the co-founders of FloReal Sports, are hoping to open the gateway for their sport entering the UK and support children with a football meets football day at the facility in Beckton.

Johnson and Lynch, will be running schoolchildren from across Newham through some training drills, in a bid to encourage children from disadvantaged backgrounds to excel in education, self-esteem and character building, all through sports on June 23.

Rani Lewinson, co-Founder and director, said: “We at FloRéal Sports are so happy to hold our first event at the West Ham United Foundation with Joshua and Marshawn, who will be coming to London for the first time.

“We look to continue our partnership with The Fam First Foundation to make this an annual event, and are delighted that we have been able to work closely with the team at West Ham United Foundation.”

Both the stars come from underprivileged backgrounds themselves and have overcome many obstacles to become the NFL stars that they are today.

“We hope to continue to inspire and empower the young people of Newham through American flag football.

“We know the kids are really excited to meet the players, and it’s great to have such great role models who actually care for young people and their communities.”

The event is a real step towards ensuring children from all backgrounds have the opportunity to engage with renowned athletes and follow in their footsteps.
