E20 EastEnders Fishing Trust is on the lookout for new members.

The trust was set up a year and a half ago and will be based below the Greenway Bridge on the stretch of the River Lea.

Up until now they have been unable to set up a base because of the Olympics, but they start work on the site just 300 feet from the Olympic Stadium on Monday.

The Trust currently has nine youngsters and now they want to encourage more people from Newham to take up the sport of all ages and abilities, with the disabled and war veterans also welcome.

Any unwanted fishing equipment would also be appreciated and for more information contact Mark Kennedy of the trust on 07432 460151 or
