A total of nine schools took part and were placed in three groups with the top teams in each group progressing to the knock-out phase.

Lathom demonstrated their potential in Group One as they beat off competition from Aldesbrook and St Michael’s to bag themselves a spot in the semi-finals.

They were joined in the semi-finals by Elmhurst from Group Two who seal victories against Gallion and North Beckton to cement their spot.

Group Three saw two teams progress as St Edward’s topped the group with two victories against St Stephen’s and Nelson, while St Stephen’s progressed through as the highest rank second-place team.

St Stephen’s fell short against Lathom, while St Edward’s (28-4) wasn’t enough to hold off Elmhurst (31-1) who met Lathom in the final.

Lathom took on Elmhurst in the final and it was the latter who triumphed after bowling their rivals out for 23.
