Daniel Paredes faced IBA light-middleweight champion Ronnie Chishoom and boxed well in the first round to size up his rival, before delivering a devastating knockout in the second.

He said: “I felt really good. I had trained hard and managed to pull it off.”

MBox club coach Mickey Cunningham met fellow middleweight Daniel Olajide and took a points win after a relentless display, adding: “I was over the moon. I won in front of my family. I was also very pleased for Paredes as he is turning pro this year along with other boys from the club.”
