London Lions kept their cool to overcome a battling Bristol Flyers to claim a hard-fought road victory.
The visitors emerged on top despite losing star guard Justin Robinson to injury after playing just 12 minutes.
Trailing for large portions of the fourth quarter, the Lions rallied behind Brandon Peel and Momcilo Latinovic as well as the defensive play of Paul Guede restricting Brandon Boggs to just a point in the entire second half.
Turning point – in a game separated by very little, Paul Guede produced a game-defining play in the final seconds.
His block and rebound with just 12 seconds on the clock all but secured the contest, ensuring Bristol were forced to foul and London could close out the game at the free throw line.
The visitors managed to overturn Bristol’s 60 per cent shooting in the first half to finish off at just 37 per cent.
Momcilo Latinovic produced a game-high 18 points in what proved to be a low scoring contest. The forward connected on half of his three-pointers and missed only once at the foul line.
