Lions trio to meet up with national team later this month
London Lions trio Paul Guede, William Hall and Joe Ikhinmwin have been called up to the first England preparation camp ahead of next April’s Commonwealth Games.
National team head coach Andreas Kapoulas has named a 24-man squad for the meet up, which takes place later this month.
Those name in the squad will hope to use the camp to impress, with Kapoulas having to cut his team to just 12 for next year’s event.
“We have a great group of players for the first camp with very strong representation from the domestic league and we look forward to starting our preparations,” said Kapoulas.
Before meeting up with the national team, Guede, Hall and Ikhinmwin have an extra chance to impress, with Lions visiting Kapoulas’ Bristol Flyers in the British Basketball League on Friday.
Lions will not have played for almost two weeks heading into that game, having been without a competitive game last weekend.
