East London All Stars are heading to the National Finals

East London All Stars booked a place at the National Finals with play-off success over Greenwich Titans.

Having won by 20 points and lost by six when the sides met in Division Three earlier in the season, they expected a tough test.

East London built a six-point lead in the first quarter and extended it to 39-27 with good team work in the second session.

The home side tried to fight back, as tiredness and the loss of two players hit the All Stars, but it ended 63-57 to the visitors.

Ariff Sempala led the way with 24 points, as Daniel Delgado (10) and Michal Manevan (six) gave support.

Head coach Joshua Tackie said: “This is phenomenal. It is our first year of competing as a partnership team in the National League and we’ve won a place in the finals.

“The team have worked exceptionally hard all season and I’m thrilled for them. Our aim now is on ensuring the team remains focused and is prepared for the challenge ahead.”
