Event to take place at Terence McMillan Stadium on Sunday

Athletes from clubs and schools from across the capital will descend on the Terence McMillan Stadium on Sunday for this year’s London & South East Parallel Success Championships.

Organised by volunteers, the event will see almost 300 athletes compete in a series of track and field events.

This year’s event will also see RaceRunning included for the first time to help athletes prepare for the IPC Athletics European Championships in Berlin later this summer.

“This is a truly inclusive event for Para-Athletes of all ages, racing alongside some of London’s best mainstream sprinters and Paralympians,” said event organised Coral Nourrice.

“Amongst them are Paralympians Richard Chiassaro, Sophie Hahn, Kare Adenegan, Stef Reid, Vanessa Wallace and Sophie Kamlish, plus Invictus Games stars David Henson and Luke Sinnott who will be supporting athletes preparing for Sydney 2018.”

Parallel Success is the name of the British Athletics Para-athletics programme which aims to identify, develop, prepare and support potential Paralympians towards World Class level.
