Jubilant Jamal takes latest West Ham Park run

Jamal Mohammed won the Tessa Sanderson Foundation Academy West Ham Park 5k Run on Sunday.
The Newham & Essex Beagles runner was first over the line in 16 minutes 37 seconds.
Micah Ward of Southwest was second in 17.04 and Highgate Harriers athlete John O’Shea took third place in 18.20.
In the women’s race, Ilona Bagi of Serpentine Running Club was first in 22.16, while East End Road Runners pair Amanda Widdowson (24.01) and Maxine Clarke (26.14) were second and third respectively.
TSFA West Ham Park 5k Run Series is a UKA licensed event and free to enter.
More than 250 runners have participated so far in the winter series.
Robin Sorflaten of East End Road Runners is leading the series with 84 points in the 51-60 age group and Florence Dillon leads the women’s 51-60 age category with 77 points.
The next race is scheduled for Sunday, January 22 at 12pm, followed by a group training session at 1pm.
