Local club runners took on the hottest-ever London Marathon on Sunday.

Raphael Brunea (3:02.01) led Viewtube Runners home, ahead of Chris Cameron (3:24.17), a best from Lucy Hastings (3:46.29) and Petter Axby (3:47.18).

Jorge Arango clocked 4:14.22, ahead of Azam Sms (5:04.23) and Jenny Winter (5:09.15), plus debutants Elizabeth Challoner (4:26.52), Ruth Jaocb (5:13.22) and Adelle Foster (6:17.55), as several others volunteered.

East End Road Runners’ Hiren Amin, Alice Cliverd, Claire Adamson, Phil Minns and Simon Leung-Chester tackled the course again, as nine made their debuts.

These included Dani Fletcher, Abigail Watling, George Sceats, Yogi Patel, Emily Risness, Naomi Elliott, Jimmi Lee, Shree Laturia and Angelo Pereis, with all members cheered on by a large support crew.
