West Ham centre back Winston Reid has recovered from concussion in time to face Arsenal this Saturday, but Joey O’Brien remains a doubt, manager Sam Allardyce has revealed.

Reid was injured in a collision with goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen in the Hammers’ 2-1 win over QPR on Monday night, while O’Brien was also withdrawn after suffering a knock.

“We think Winston Reid is going to be ok,” said Allardyce.

“We’re not sure about Joey O’Brien; he had to come off injured [against QPR].”

“Everybody else - apart from the long term injuries of Jack Collison and Alou Diarra - seems to be ok.”

Although Republic of Ireland international O’Brien could miss out, Allardyce is pleased with his options for the visit of the Gunners.

The Hammers boss says his squad are full of confidence after their resilient victory over strugglers QPR.

“It’s a good, strong squad to choose from again and a group of players that are feeling good about themselves after their result on Monday night [against QPR],” he said.
