Jordan Graham said he wants to put on a show and excite the fans after joining Leyton Orient on a two-year deal.

The Aston Villa academy graduate became the ninth signing of the summer for O's after the arrivals of Max Sanders, Ethan Galbraith, Dan Agyei, Idris El Mizouni, Sol Brynn, Sam Howes, Joe Pigott and Ed Turns.

And the winger is determined to make his mark at Brisbane Road, telling the club website: "It's been in the pipeline for a while now. I came down last week and met Richie and the staff, and when I left the training ground I knew this was where I wanted to spend the next couple of years of my career.

"I feel like I can really come and put on a show and excite the fans, and I'm looking forward to getting back into it and enjoying my football.

"The way the gaffer wants to play football is really appealing and exciting. I want to play with a smile on my face and the vibe that I got gives me that impression.

"I want to put smiles on the fans' faces with lots of one-on-ones and take-ons. I enjoy making people happy."

Graham had loan spells at Ipswich Town, Bradford City and Wolves while at Villa, before joining their Midlands rivals on a permanent basis in 2014.

Further loans spells at Oxford United, Fulham, Ipswich and Gillingham followed, before he left Molineux in 2020.

He netted 12 goals in 39 games for the Gills, catching the eye of Championship clubs and joining Birmingham City in 2021.

And O's head coach Richie Wellens was delighted to bring him to E10 from St Andrew's.

"In Jordan were bringing in a consistent Championship performer, I think he's played 50 games in the last two years," he said.

"His attitude, his application, his work rate, and his one vs one duels is something which he thrives on.

"When he gets in the attacking half he can manoeuvre the ball, and he’s got a good shot. He can deliver with both his left foot and right foot, and we think he’ll add to the group and has got real quality.

"Before we had a couple of injuries in the camp we wanted that right-footed left winger, and his style is something which can really suit us."

O's begin their League One campaign with a trip to Charlton Athletic on Saturday (August 5, 3pm).
