Its a phone box but not as we know it. It is in fact a fibre glass replica created by fashion designer Zandra Rhodes to raise money for ChildLine.
Westfield Stratford City, in partnership with BT, is marking the 25th anniversary of ChildLine by welcoming a unique version of the classic British phone booth. It will be at the retail mecca until July 14 so that people can bid for the chance to buy it through an online e-bay auction on July 18.
Iconic fashion designer Rhodes has transformed a full-size, fibre-glass replica of the original Gilbert Scott-designed K6 telephone kiosk, into a stunning piece of artwork at the Big Bridge near Marks and Spencer.
The box gives members of the public to celebrate ChildLine’s 25th anniversary and raise money for the charity.
