X Factor fans are in for a treat as one of this year’s finalists will be headlining the Stratford Centre’s Christmas stage show.

Girl band Alien Uncovered were given the boot from the ITV show earlier this month, despite getting positive comments from the judges.

The six-piece will be taking to the stage in Stratford Shopping Centre shortly before 6pm on Saturday.

They will headline an afternoon designed to get shoppers into the Christmas spirit, with a whole host of festive entertainment on offer from 12pm.

Performers will be on stage throughout the afternoon, while there will also be balloon modelling and appearances from Makena, the shopping centre’s mascot.

The day will also see the launch of Santa’s Postbox, a scheme where children can post their Christmas wish list to the North Pole and receive a reply from the man in red himself.
