A woman has been charged and two men arrested following a violent robbery.

During the alleged incident last month a man was beaten and tied up in his own home in Lucas Avenue, Upton Park while cash and jewellery were stolen.

Ioana Ruxandra Costache, 27, a Romanian national, of Ripple Road in Barking, was charged with burglary on March 3. She has been bailed to appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on March 17.

A 34-year-old man and a 37-year-old man were also arrested on suspicion of burglary. The two have been bailed pending further enquiries to a date in April.

Enquiries are ongoing to identify and find any outstanding suspects.
