London River, a film about two parents searching for their respective children in the aftermath of the 7/7 bombings, comes out on DVD on Monday and the Recorder has three copies to give away.

SET against the backdrop of the July 7 London bombings in 2005, London River tells the story of a friendship which develops between two seemingly unconnected people – white Christian Elizabeth (Brenda Blethyn) and African Muslim Ousmane (Sotigui Kouyate).

Both of them have come to London to search for their children who are missing in the aftermath of the bombings. Putting aside their cultural differences, they give each other the strength to continue the search and maintain their faith in humanity.

London River (12) is released on DVD by Trinity on Monday, for 15.99. It has 16 minutes of extras, including an interview with Brenda Blethyn.

We are giving away three copies. Send your name and address to London River Competition, c/o Lindsay Jones, 539 High Road, Ilford IG1 1UD by 9am, October 18.
