This white owl model got some Plaistow residents in a right flap last week.
The Recorder received calls on Thursday September 20 from concerned animal lovers after what seemed to be a bird appeared overnight on a rooftop on Plashet Road.
James Sweeney, who spotted the owl, said: “You’ve got to see it, it’s absolutely beautiful. I’m just concerned for its welfare.”
But when Recorder photographer Rosalind Butt got her long lens camera on the creature, it appeared there was slightly less than meets the eye.
