Drop-off points for the Newham Recorder Christmas Toy Appeal 2014, in partnership with local charity Community Links, are now open and ready to receive your donations.

There are a total of 19 locations across Newham where you can drop off your offering, however small, to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in the borough (see below for a full list of locations).

With your help, no child in Newham will wake up to an empty stocking on Christmas morning. If you can’t get out to make your donation, toys can also be collected from your home. Call Community Links on 020 7473 2270 for collections.

If you feel a little out of your depth in choosing a toy that you think a young person would like, you can send a cheque, payable to Community Links, to: Christmas Toy Appeal, Community Links, 105 Barking Road, Canning Town, E16 4HQ.

This will be used by charity workers and volunteers to purchase toys.
