Westfield killing of Liam Woodards: Thirteenth person in court
Detectives investigating the killing of Liam Woodards at the Westfield Stratford City Shopping centre have charged a thirteenth person in connection with the investigation.
A 17-year-old male youth will appear in custody at Thames Magistrates’ court accused of violent disorder.
A 23-year-old man was also arrested yesterday but was later released with no further action.
Another 17-year-old male youth appeared in custody at Redbridge Magistrates’ Court on Monday charged with the murder of Mr Woodards, 24, at the centre on June 29 and violent disorder and was remanded to re-appear again today at the Old Bailey.
And 11 other men are currently on remand accused of violent disorder, nine in custody and two on bail to various courts. They have been remanded to a number of different dates this week, next week and later in the month.
