Players from West Ham brought some festive cheer to their supporters with a visit to Richard House Children's Hospice on Wednesday.

Patron of the charity, Mark Noble, brought along teammates Joey O’Brien, Momo Diamé, Ricardo Vaz Tê and goalkeeper Adrian to hand out presents to the children and young adults, take part in colouring in exercises and posed for pictures.

The hospice, in Richard House Drive, Beckton, helps those who are at risk of death from a life-limiting health conditions and provides support to families.

West Ham have been supporters of the charity since 2000, making annual Christmas trips.

Midfielder Mark Noble said: “I’ve been coming since I was 16 as I grew up around the corner in Beckton.

“The staff does such amazing work so it’s great to be able to give something back.”

Defender Joey O’Brien said: “It’s an incredible experience to come here and spend time with the kids and the staff who work here.”

Viv Talbot, community fundraising manager at Richard House, added: “It was great to have so many West Ham stars bringing festive cheer at Richard House.

“The day was a special one for children, young adults and families and demonstrates West Ham’s continued commitment to supporting the hospice.”
