West Ham Park has been given a Green Flag Award for the 17th consecutive year.

The award recognises the best green spaces in the UK and are judged on a number of aspects, including facilities and safety standards.

In addition, the park has also won the Green Heritage Site for the seventh year in a row.

Lucy Anne Murphy, the manager of West Ham Park, said: “I’m delighted that West Ham Park has once again been recognised as one of the best run and well-loved green spaces in the UK.

“We are extremely proud of the park and the Green Flag is testament to the hard work and dedication of the staff and volunteers who work throughout the year to maintain and protect this wonderful site.”

West Ham Park has been managed by the City of London Corporation since 1874 and attracts one million visitors each year.
