Dozens gathered to see Tinchy Strider launch the East Village "Artists in Residence" programme last Wednesday to celebrate the cultural legacy in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

At the launch the musician revealed a new school anthem developed with Chobham Academy academy students in a live performance.

The new track was formulated in a masterclass hosted by the acclaimed rapper where students of the academy, in Cheering Lane, could share ideas and polish their natural talent.

Tinchy said: “I’m passionate about passing on my musical knowledge to young people and I was proud to be East Village’s first Artist in Residence.

“It’s an honour to give back a lasting cultural legacy to the area that I grew up in.”

Stuart Corbyn, chairman of Get Living London said: “We’re delighted Tinchy Stryder has joined our Artist in Residence programme which is chance to celebrate the fantastic cultural scene this part of the capital has to offer.”
