Leyton Orient caretaker manager Kevin Nugent expected an announcement to be made ‘very shortly’ on his future at the club.
Nugent picked up his first point in the role thanks to Romain Vincelot’s equaliser deep into stoppage time in a 2-2 draw at Sheffield United, despite going down to 10 men after Jobi McAnuff’s sending off for two bookable offences 15 minutes from time.
And on his future at Brisbane Road, he said: “It’s not too much different from what it was before but I don’t want to take anything away from today’s game. It was all about the players today and nothing else outside the football pitch really.
“The club will be making a statement pretty shortly on the current situation. There’s been a lot spoken about myself and the situation. I just want to get away from that at the moment and then we can hopefully get some clarity on it.”
However, at this current time the club is yet to make a statement and it’s reported that sporting director Mauro Milanese suggested nothing was imminent.
