Artist Kemi Olodo wants to take the next step in her career.
Not only writing music, the 22-year-old is looking to raise enough funds to help her start recording her tracks.
Kemi, known as Princess Kemz, who grew up in Stratford and East Ham, said writing was her “passion” but has switched to recording music.
“I’m trying to get my music business going because I like to sing and rap.
“I want to raise funds for my music so I can get in the studio.”
She has been invited to perform in the World Championships of Performing Arts competition in Hollywood.
“It’s is a chance to compete against people from all over the world, performing in front of music industry judges and a chance to win a scholarship,” she said.
Kemi has been writing music since she was 16, but only started getting more serious five years ago.
“I went through a personal trauma, so I decided to write poems which I then turned into raps.I do want to start singing more, but I’ve not had any vocal training, although I have applied for shows like the Voice and Britain’s Got Talent.”
