Three men have been charged in connection with spying allegations over the original bidding process for the Olympic Stadium.

Richard Michael Forrest, 30, of Furzefield, Crawley, West Sussex, Lee Stewart, 39, of More Lane, Esher, and Howard Hill, 58, of Shrigley Road South, Poynton, Stockport are accused of conspiracy to commit fraud by false representation.

It follows a 14-month investigation by the Metropolitan Police’s Economic and Specialist Crime Command into claims by West Ham United and the Olympic Park Legacy Company that information was unlawfully obtained during the bidding process for the venue.

The trio will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on November 28.
