TfL Rail services may be delayed or amended between London Liverpool Street and Goodmayes this morning.
Services are still being delayed and cancelled after a driver put out the fire next to the tracks using a fire extinguisher.
On Twitter, a TfL Rail spokesperson: “We apologise for the delays this morning due to a fire next to the track.
“Services towards London are being maintained with minor delay.
“There are some cancellations and short notice alterations to services towards Shenfield.”
